Welcome, do you feel ready to make decisive changes in your life? Do you wish to discover effective ways of overcoming  emotional or psychological problems?

I create a supportive, secure and judgement free environment in order to help my clients develop self-awareness and gain insight into any difficulties they are experiencing.

I employ a range of therapeutic approaches and creativity in my work. Alongside talking together, creative interventions may be suggested as a means to accessing your deeper thoughts. Working with art can be a powerful way to visually express emotions.

Practice description

In collaboration with my clients, I proficiently tailor my approach to suit their needs - rather like making a bespoke garment that will fit you and only you!

I aim to 'journey' with my clients, at their pace, as they develop their ability to explore, understand and make lasting changes. Clients are encouraged to discover their inner resources and to develop 'tools' that are unique for them.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I work effectively with clients who are experiencing the physical effects of stress, anxiety or trauma. I offer techniques that ground and calm clients, helping them to feel energised, empowered and better able to work through their anxiety or trauma.

I have experience of working with a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties. These include but are not limited to anxiety, bereavement, loss, depression, feeling sad, recurring negative thoughts, stress, self-harm, low self esteem, life events/transitions, trauma and work place issues.

My first session

As a first step, you can call or email me to arrange a free telephone consultation.

Next step, we will complete an initial assessment. Together we look at why you are seeking counselling and discuss areas of your life that you wish to improve, change or work on and how counselling might help you.

The initial assessment will also give you an opportunity to gain a sense of what it is like to work with me.

If after our initial meeting, we agree to work together, we can arrange regular session times. Weekly sessions are the most effective frequency.

I recognise that reaching out for counselling may seem daunting.

I honour your first step on the journey to change...
