About me and my therapy practice

Hi. Have you lost the sense of who you are? Does your anxiety or stress feel overwhelming and difficult to cope with? I specialise in helping clients to understand and manage their anxiety. Counselling empowers you and is life changing. I work with clients whose anxiety may be a result of unresolved childhood issues, feeling' different', or have lost a sense of who they are. This impacts on relationships, self esteem, and health.

I bring an experienced perspective to the difficulties clients have managing new situations or differences in culture, values, and beliefs. My clients express relief at releasing their shame, loss, or pain. As they heal, they are able to move forward.

I help my clients whose anxiety affects their relationships, or careers; creating low self esteem. Our work together reduces my clients' anxiety, and increases self confidence. As they develop a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, their place in life, my clients also restore their sense of purpose.

Counselling provides you with a safe space and time, to consider a different perspective to your concerns and situation; while supporting you to find ways to understand and come to terms with bereavement or trauma, as examples.

While my approach focuses on easing your distress, it also allows me to consider you as a whole: emotions, thoughts, behaviour and well-being.

Practice description

I offer a free introductory call to discuss your enquiry and how I work.

Person-centred therapy is at the core of my practice, however I apply other approaches in an integrative way, to best suit you as an individual; working with you to discover the resources and coping strategies that you may need to reduce anxiety or depression, come to terms with a personal loss, or manage overwhelming feelings.

This may involve techniques that support you in working through the issues that have impacted on your mental health and relationships, or a creative approach that helps you to identify what is troubling you more clearly.

I care passionately about providing a service where you feel heard and supported, to restore meaning and purpose to your life for you to move forward.

My first session

I offer a free introductory call to discuss the support that you are looking for and how I work. We also talk about availability and book the first session if we agree to go ahead.

Within our first session, we discuss your expectations, agree on how we will work together, complete an assessment, and start the therapy offered.
