About me and my therapy practice

I would describe myself as an understanding and accepting counsellor.

I believe that people face a huge number of different challenges and issues in the modern world, and that even a short period of counselling can help an individual feel better equipped and comfortable in their lives. Counselling isn't something for the few or the most needy - it can help everyone.

Contact me, and we can discuss how I can help you build towards a happier and stronger future.

Practice description

I offer a flexible approach to counselling. I am aware that life can be busy and being able to commit to the same day and time each week can be unrealistic to some. Along side regular appointments I offer flexible sessions (subject to availability) or fortnightly appointments.

I am trained in integrative counselling which draws on a range of counselling theories which enables me to adapt my approach to ensure that I am able to support you in a way that works for you.

I have professional and personal experience with ASD and ADHD and offer a low pressure, low demand approach to counselling. I am aware that just because two people share a diagnosis, doesn't mean they experience life the same way and hope to create a safe space where you can explore your individual  life and experiences

I have an accessible, confidential room in the Walworth Enterprise Centre on the Walworth Industrial Estate in Andover, Hampshire. There is parking outside and a bus stop a short walk away.

When you arrive there is a waiting area opposite reception where I will meet you and show you to my counselling room. If we are working together online I will email you a Zoom/Microsoft Teams link prior to our session.

My first session

I offer a free 15 minute phone call before booking a first session to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. If we both feel we are able to work together we can agree a date and time to start out sessions together.

In our first session together I will discuss confidentiality and any limitations to this.  We then spend some time exploring what brings you to counselling, how you are experiencing life and what your hopes for counselling are.
