About me and my therapy practice

Welcome! I’m Sharon Williams, a fully qualified counsellor offering independent, unrestricted counselling therapy for Emergency Service workers anywhere in the UK through 1:1 sessions in Lincoln and securely online.


With my lived experience as a serving police officer and as a counsellor, I can share your problems, what’s keeping you up at night and equip you to tackle life head-on, with no detriment to your career or occupational health record. You will feel back on top form and excited for your future. 

I have a fully accessible, secure and discreet counselling premises in Lincoln City Centre and I am able to work flexibly around your shifts and home commitments.  It’s time to work on your LIFE/work balance and I’m more than happy to help you with that.

But why can I help you more than any other therapist?

That’s because I have been there, I was medically retired from the Police after 12 years of service. I have walked in similar shoes to you… I get it.

  • I have felt overwhelmed with the pressure and dangers of the job.
  • I have been exhausted after a shift but when my head hits the pillow, I’m wide awake.
  • I’m visualising what I’ve seen and I’m reviewing, wondering if I could have done better.
  • I have felt trapped and stuck in the job and felt very demotivated and unsupported.

I offer unrestricted therapy sessions which means that you won’t be limited to just 6 – 8 sessions or whatever your occupational health team provide.

You decide when you want to start and when you want to stop.


My first session

During my FREE 20 minute discovery call, we can chat and see if we are a right fit for each other.  

This is an important part of selecting your therapist.  There is no obligation to book there and then.  

I am happy to explore all problems and concerns that you bring to the therapy session and if I identify that clinically, you will benefit from a therapist that works solely in a specialist area, then I will recommend that to you.
