About me and my therapy practice
Welcome!
I'm Victoria, a creative integrative therapist.
The integrative approach means we have a wide selection of psychotherapy theories and creative art practices to explore together. We will use creative practices and imagination alongside talk-based trauma informed therapy to help you make sense of what is going on in your life. It can help explore and express difficult experiences and feelings.
Essentially it puts you at the centre and we work with finding the best approach for you.
The work is process based, meaning we use different creative practices to explore your inner world. It is not an art lesson, and no previous art experience is required. You don't have to use any of the arts. Sometimes just having a space to talk is enough. Sometimes an image might capture what you want to share. Sometimes you might want to shout, dance or move.
All is welcome.
The time is yours.
Practice description
Alongside working 1-1 with individuals, I work with charities providing advocacy and emotional support to women who find themselves in challenging and complex circumstances. Focusing on issues related to reproductive health and justice, grief, depression, discrimination, experiences of pregnancy loss, birth trauma, domestic and sexual violence.
I care deeply about working community-based and increasing access to therapeutic/ supportive spaces that encourage and empower women to rebuild their lives.
